Romsey Disability Forum
"Helping ourselves to help ourselves"
Romsey Disability Forum was established in 1992 as a group of physically disabled people living in Romsey and the surrounding area
Main Aims
How do we achieve this?
By offering the opportunity for monthly meetings to which we regularly invite guest speakers on topics of interest to our members.
By putting people in touch with others who have similar interests and concerns
By attending local meetings on subjects that may affect the disabled, i.e. Council planning meetings, disability conferences.
By seeking out and staying in touch with other organisations that can provide help to the disabled
By meeting to socialise, make friends and exchange views.
The Forum arranges a number of events and activities
to encourage social interaction and fitness of its members.
These include:

Where and when do we meet?
Between 7.30 - 9.30 pm on the first Wednesday of every month at The Masters House Day Centre, Greatwell Drive, Romsey.
Does it cost anything?
The Forum asks for a nominal fee each year to cover administration costs. There is a small charge for refreshments at meetings. Most activities will cost money but every effort is made to keep these charges as low as possible
Is there help with transport?
If transport is a problem for you let us know and we will arrange lifts. We also have our own bus.
Who can join?
Anyone with a physical disability living in Romsey or the surrounding area is welcome to join. Our members' disabilities are varied and include visually and hearing impaired people as well as those with restricted mobility.
How do I join?
Just turn up to one of our meetings. If you need transport or more information contact: Janet Hoskins - Telephone: 01794 501543
