Look at Romsey Town Design Statement for Romsey Lower Cupernham and Fishlake Meadows Prepared by a team of volunteers in the area under the auspices of the
2003 Leaflet: September: To each household (320) inviting residents to inaugural meeting in the Town Hall. 9 letters received. Meeting 18 September Inaugural meeting. 24 people present. Preparation of Questionnaire: Questionnaire: Delivered to each household with accompanying letter November, replies by early December (almost 30% were returned) 2004 Leaflet drop with reminder of Exhibition, Public Meeting and notice of guided walk February Exhibition: February at Hillier Garden Centre, Botley Road. Over 100 attended Second public meeting to give analysis of questionnaires: 24 February (14 attended) Guided walk: March Between 15 and 20 people took part.
A series of 6 meetings were held in which the contents of each section of the Statement were discussed. These were written up and then reviewed. Five people were actively engaged in the process. When the words were agreed, a copy was sent to TVBC Planning Department for their observations. (July 2004) TVBC asked us to omit some material and those matters deemed not to be design were removed to an appendix.
