Hello!
Many members meet in Romsey and operate a car share scheme to reach the start of the walk thus enabling members not having the use of a car to enjoy walking. Non members are also welcome on our walks. More details of our activities can be obtained from Tom Radford, the secretary who can be contacted by EMAIL If you want to know more about joining the Ramblers Association go to: Ramblers membership
Stepping Out in Yorkshire
A group of 29 Romsey Ramblers travelled to Yorkshire for a week's walking holiday. They stayed in self-catering accommodation just outside Pickering in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Some members took their own food whilst those with lesser culinary skills enjoyed the delights of the local hostelries The group enjoyed some lovely walks visiting the Hole of Horcum, Riveaulx Abbey, Grosmont and Robin Hood Bay. The leaders organised walks ranging from 4 to 10 miles catering for all abilities and including some very steep hills! Some of the group took the train from Pickering to Goathland and walked in "Heartbeat" country. The week ended with a very enjoyable meal at a local hostelry
